Before she died in a car accident, Jeff's wife promised their two young daughters a dog. Jeff breaks the promise and hopes instead that a camping trip will help the girls to heal. But in these ancient woods, a promise is a promise.

Jan [Jan's/They/Them] is a NY-based playwright. Recent work includes workshops of their play GUSHER! with Seattle Rep and IAMA Theatre. GUSHER! was a finalist for the O'Neill Playwriting Conference, and their plays How To Destroy An American Girl Doll, What's Wrong With You, and A Little Piece Of You were semi-finalists. Jan has worked with LAByrinth Theater, The Lark, The Cherry Lane Theater, and many others. Former playwright in residence at Stella Adler. Former playwright commissionee at The Farm Theater. Their work has been produced by multiple colleges across the country. Member of the Playwright/Director's Unit at The Actors Studio. Jan finds joy in writing weird, dark, queer stories.
